I refuse to change alone

I refuse to change alone.
Changing alone means I am disconnected from humxnity.

If I am to change, you must change.
There is no other way.
This is how the world works.

The observer can’t help but change the observed.
What is also true
Is that the observed also changes the observer.

If I am going to change the world, I must be open to changing myself. I must be vulnerable enough to be influenced by those I am trying to influence. In order to do that, I must be very clear on my values and principles, so that I feel solid enough in my core that I can adapt to change. Because the best way to change the world is not by staying in my paradigm and calling out others who don’t fit that paradigm. The best—in fact, the only—way to change our enemies as well as our friends is to get as close as possible to them; to understand them as intimately as we can; to know them better than we know ourselves. In order to do that, we must listen. We must listen with our minds and our hearts; we must reflect the truth with both sides of our brain, the logical and the emotional.

If you are going to come in to my life expecting me to change, then you will not be successful until you are willing to change with me. Because I refuse to change alone. If I am going to make a change, then you must do the same. We do not have to change in the same ways, but we both must change. There is no other way.
